I'm passionate about photography. As a child, I remember going through our family pictures that were either kept in shoe boxes or arranged in old style photo albums that have sticky pages. There was one time when I tried to transfer old pictures from an old album to a new one and the pictures were ruined because they were all stuck on the page. I'm glad we're not doing that anymore.
I started taking a lot of pictures when my daughter was born 11 years ago. I wanted to capture all the cute and silly little things she did growing up. Thanks to the invention of digital cameras and the effort that the manufacturers made to make it affordable to the public. Digital photography met the need for instant gratification. No more waiting until your film gets developed only to find out you only like 10% of the pictures you took. Taking pictures became more fun for me. We had a Nikon Coolpix back then. It was a bulky camera but took nice pictures. It could take videos for about 40 seconds but without the sound. But back then, that was a feature that most cameras don't even have, so we were cool.
For me, photography is a way of capturing bits and pieces of my life - things that matter to me and the people around me. It's a snapshot of what I saw and how I saw it at that moment in time.
And now as I share my photos with you, I hope that I will inspire you to . . .
